You MUST be approved to meet our dogs in a foster care setting. If you are approved, please contact your adoption counselor for more information on our pups. If you are NOT approved, please get approved by applying at www.lrrof.org. Those applicants already approved have the first chance of adoption.

Meet Dakota
Hi everyone! My name is Dakota but I’m not from that state. I’m a chubby 8 ½ year old gal that is looking for my furever home. Now don’t get me wrong; I love my foster home but there are two other labs there and I want to get all the attention myself. I am very energetic for my age and I take retrieving to the limit. I love playing ball outside, except it’s been so hot this summer that I can only retrieve one or two times. I like to go for walks but I need to learn how to walk on a leash without pulling so hard. I’m a very smart girl and know lots of commands: sit, stay, down and I come running when you call my name. I DO NOT like any small animals (dogs, squirrels, cats, birds) so don’t have any of these around me. I am very talkative, they say I’m a whiner, and I love to give kisses. My personality has come out since I’ve been with my foster parents and I keep them entertained constantly. Please give my foster people a call to see if I would fit into your life.
