Hunter
Meet Hunter
Born on April 7, 2024, this sweet boy is an all-around lovable pup! Hunter is 60 lbs. and though his rich chocolate coat may not show it, he’s actually a Labrador Retriever and Australian Shepherd mix. That Aussie side shows up in the most charming way—he loves to "herd" his toys and treasures. If something’s missing (like a slipper!), check his crate—he’s been known to collect his favorite finds.
While he may be a little shy at first, once he warms up, he’s incredibly sweet, playful, and affectionate. He loves snuggling, being groomed, and loves to play with bigger dogs. He’s also had experience with children and does well with them. Cats, however, are a no-go, and birds and squirrels? Fair game for a good chase!
This boy is still a little skittish when first meeting people and when on a leash, so a home with a secure backyard where he can run and chase balls is ideal. When he’s not playing, you’ll often find him curled up under his foster’s desk while she works—he’s truly her shadow and just wants to be close to his person.
He’s looking for a loving, patient family who will give him the time and space to come out of his shell. In return, you’ll get a loyal, goofy, and totally lovable companion.
Ready to meet your new best friend? He’s waiting for you!
