Meet Tucker

Hi Folks! My name is Tucker and I’m just 6 years old!

I was surrendered to Lab Rescue because I have PRA (progressive retinal atrophy). It is a retinal degeneration that is not curable. It means that I will eventually go blind. PRA in itself is not at all painful, however, it is possible that in the future I could develop inflammation and/or pressure in my eyes that would need to be treated.

I know that sounds like it might be a lot to take on, but its really not that bad. My foster buddy, Mr Magoo, was born blind and he does just fine! We just don’t move furniture around much.

Now that we’ve got that stuff out of the way, let’s talk about all the good stuff!

My foster mom says that if someone is looking for a Velcro lab with a heart of gold, that would be me. I prefer to think of myself as a major cuddle bug. I would follow you anywhere!

I’m a big boy, almost 100 lbs, but I’m not at all pushy with my foster buddies (and the Labradoodle does try to test my patience. I just walk away and wait for her to calm down a bit.)

I haven’t met any kitty cats, but I think that they would probably scare me more than I would scare them!

Won’t you come to Gainesville and visit me? I promise I won’t disappoint you!
