Meet Tucker

Hi folks, my name is Tucker and I am 5-1/2 years old. I was surrendered to Lab Rescue by my owner because I have progressive retinal atrophy – it is a retinal degeneration that is not curable. It means that I will eventually go blind. I guess that I could say the plus in this problem is that it can’t be fixed with expensive surgery or expensive medications, so I wouldn’t be a financial burden on my new family.

My foster mom says that if someone is looking for a Velcro Lab, with a heart of gold, that would be me. I prefer to think of myself as a major cuddle bug. I would follow you anywhere!

I’m a big boy, about 90 pounds, but I’m not at all pushy with my foster buddies (and the Labradoodle does try to test my patience. I just walk away and wait for her to calm down a bit)

My foster mom is taking me to meet some kitty cats this Sunday. She is not at all worried because she knows that I don’t have a prey drive bone in my body.

One of my foster buddies (Mr Magoo) has been blind from birth and my foster mom said that it is amazing how well he finds his way around, both inside and outside. She says that anyone coming to the house would not even notice. We just don’t move furniture around much.

Won’t you come and visit me? I promise I won’t disappoint you!
