I'm a 1 1/2 year old guy weighing in at a slim 60 pounds. (I'm "eat to live" type rather than the "live to eat" type). Of course, it could be because I was first in line when energy was being passed out. I could run circles around anyone--literally, of course--for hours on end. There's nothing like being let loose in a wide open space!
I've never really met a person, or animal for that matter, that I didn't like. Although, I don't think I've scored any points with the resident cat at my foster home. After all, I just want to play; but he seems pretty content to just sit around all day. Oh, well!
I must say that despite my energy, I'm pretty good on a leash, and it doesn't take much to calm me down after play time. All it takes is a few gentle strokes and a soft voice. My crate, with it's nice cushy bed, is a great retreat, too.
Some might also argue that I'm still a bit clumsy, but so far, I've managed not to bump into anything or that I'm not "lap dog" size--I beg to differ!! I'm just your typical Lab--a bundle of love and energy who just wants to be loved!
