Meet SCOTT

Meet Scott !

I’m the perfect companion for someone who likes to get some exercise, but also likes to chill. I’m up for anything. I’m a sporty and playful young boy (about a year old) who loves running around and being part of a pack with my foster siblings. But I also like to spend time independently sitting outside and calmly watching the world around me.

I was turned into the shelter because “the landlord didn’t allow big dogs.” But I suspect that my previous owners didn’t have much time for me either. While I was fully potty trained and decent on a leash when I arrived at my foster home, I needed to learn some of the basics, like sit and that jumping and play mouthing isn’t ok. My foster family worked on that and I’m learning so fast! I’m getting great at minding my manners and listening like the good boy that I am.

At my foster home, I love playing and roughhousing with one of the resident doggies, a Lab girl who is young and active like me. And I quickly learned to let the 10-year-old golden girl in the house have her space. I’m not a huge fan of my kennel, but I’ll go in for a treat. My absolute favorite place to be is cuddling in bed with my foster sibling doggies and parents. I sleep so soundly and love it more than anything.

I think I’d be great for a family with older kids or an adult just looking for a loyal companion and active playmate. I want to keep learning. If you’ll spend time reinforcing what I’ve learned, teach me some new skills and toss a ball or frisbee regularly, we’ll get along great!
