Jake the Jolly Jester

Jake is a very loveable 2 yr old neutered 88 lb male black Lab/Great Dane mix. His health is excellent with absolutely no issues! He's extremely energetic and loves to play with his 3 foster siblings and fetch with his toys. Jake likes to be involved in everything the family does! He responds very well to praise and patience and trains well as he is highly food motivated. He also enjoys wading and splashing in the shallow water. He is very agile, and can use lots of exercise, love and attention.

Jake is learning to walk with a "gentle leader" collar. He crates well for short times during the day and crates well at night. He knows commands such as sit, down, stay, up, and off. Also wait (when going through doorways and in/out of vehicles etc), back (back-up) and quiet. Come, all-done, and shake.

Perfect health

Jake is looking for a strong loving family with previous big dog experience and a large fenced-in yard. At least one other (non-dominant) dog would help keep Jake occupied and stimulated! His foster Lab sister is his favorite playmate. Jake could be good with teenagers willing to shower him with belly rubs and hugs! He adores his human foster brothers' attention. He warms up to strangers once he gets to know them.

Jake is a gentle giant who adores snuggling up to the people that he loves.
Jake will melt your heart with his eyes and happy-go-lucky attitude!
