Adoptable Dogs

Benelli is a fun loving little gal with a BIG personality! She is a one year old female chocolate lab who is very sweet, very patient and eager to learn. She has boundless energy to run, play with toys or just interact with her people. Benelli loves to just sit next to you and be hugged and loved on and she loves everyone big and small! She enjoys playing with her toys and carrying things around the house especially slippers and blankets.

Benelli came to us severely underweight and with severe anxiety. She is gaining weight and her stress reaction has now dwindled to when she is excited or bored. She takes Rescue Remedy (an over the counter natural stress reliever) as needed and when she goes into her crate. She is not destructive in the house but occasionally will dig small holes outside.

Benelli does well with most dogs. However because she is still learning other dogs behavior she sometimes may get defensive with larger dogs. She has a very high prey drive with cats and other small animals but is easily redirected.

Benelli knows how to sit, down and stay for short amounts of time. She also walks well on leash after she gets her wiggles out. Benelli has come so far during the time she has been in rescue. She would like her to continue her journey with a family who can commit to her ongoing training. Benelli is fostering in LaBelle — so make a day of it and come meet this wonderful girl.
