Description:

Doug was found at the Homestead Fire Station in March and temporarily adopted by the Fire Fighters who named him Doug (which he is still getting used to).

He is a neutered, fit, energetic chocolate Lab who loves to meet other dogs and people. He is supposed to be a senior, but apart from a few grey whiskers on his snout, he acts like a pup, trotting briskly on his walks and sniffing every inch of turf.

Doug is very affectionate and curious, checking out everything around him. He is house trained and does not chew or destroy anything and can be left alone without any problem - but since he is a very social, velcro dog he would like to be around other dogs and people as much as possible.
He has no history of living with other dogs or cats but seems to be very gentle with both on the occasions he has come across them.

Come and meet this special guy!
