Description:

Hey guys, it's me, Berns! You might remember me as the guy who was hit by two different cars and left on the side of the road to die. I had a broken leg and internal bleeding, and it was touch and go for a while. I've been on the down-low since, recovering from my severe injuries for nearly five months. That was last year and I'm all better now. Once my body healed, my foster mom said my mind needed to heal. There were suspicious scars on my body when I was found, maybe from being used for dog fighting. But I'm improving by leaps and bounds. I'm looking for a home with a fenced yard, and even if I do like the company of other dogs, I would prefer to be the only dog. I can do without birds. I like men and women, but my foster thinks my lean 115 lb frame would terrorize children. I love to cuddle, and when my mom lets me, I love to lie in her lap. I think chest and belly rubs are heaven-sent, right up there next to chew toys and tennis balls. I'm crate trained, house-broken and very, very smart. I have to confess that I can be a little stubborn once in a while. Mom says I'm so big I might be a Lab/mastiff mix, but she's not sure. I'm hanging out in Lutz right now, and would love to have some visitors.
